About This Policy
Chorus Collective (we, us, our) is a freelance collective of senior eCommerce growth marketers. This Privacy Policy sets out how we handle your personal information - what we collect, why we collect it, how we keep it safe, and your rights around it.

We are committed to meeting our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy covers our website, client engagements, marketing activities, and the tools and platforms we use in our day-to-day work.
Personal Information
Personal information is any information about a person who is identified or could reasonably be identified from that information. In most cases, we handle business contact details and information related to our client work. We don’t typically collect sensitive information, and won’t seek it without a clear reason.
What We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Contact and identity details
Your name, email address, phone number, job title and business details
Client and commercial information
Project briefs, meeting notes, proposals, contracts and billing information
Platform and performance data
Where you grant us access, we may work with advertising account data, analytics, eCommerce metrics and customer insights across platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Shopify and Klaviyo
Website data
Technical information collected when you visit our site, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, session behaviour and referral source - typically via cookies and analytics tools
How We Collect It
We collect information when you:
  • Get in touch via our website, email or phone
  • Work with us on a project or engagement
  • Give us access to your marketing platforms or business tools
  • Browse our website
On occasion, we may also receive information from third parties - such as referrers or platform integrations - where it’s lawful and you’d reasonably expect it.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
  • Deliver our growth marketing services and manage client relationships
  • Handle onboarding, invoicing, contracts and payments
  • Maintain and improve our website and service offering
  • Keep you informed about relevant updates or opportunities (you can opt out anytime)
  • Meet our legal and compliance obligations
AI and Productivity Tools
We use a range of digital tools to run our business efficiently, including some AI-powered tools for tasks like drafting, summarising and analysis. We take a privacy-first approach to how these tools are used.
In practice, this means:
  • We only put personal or client information into AI tools when there’s a clear, legitimate reason to do so
  • We avoid inputting unnecessary identifiers - like names, emails or account IDs - into tools that may retain or reuse that data
  • Any AI-generated outputs that could affect a client, individual or business decision are reviewed by a person before being acted on
  • We assess the privacy practices of the tools we use, including how they store and handle data
Sharing Your Information
We only share personal information where necessary.
This may include:
  • Chorus Collective team members and specialist contractors working on your account
  • Third-party tools and platforms we use to run our business (such as project management, email, accounting or analytics software)
  • Professional advisers such as accountants or legal counsel
  • Regulators or government bodies where we’re legally required to disclose
We don’t sell personal information, ever.
International Data Storage
Some of the platforms and tools we rely on are based overseas or store data on international servers - most commonly in the United States or European Union. Where this is the case, we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that your information is handled appropriately and that suitable protections are in place.
Security
Keeping your information safe is important to us. We use a range of measures to protect it.
This may include:
  • Access controls and multi-factor authentication where available
  • Least-privilege permissions so people only access what they need
  • Regular reviews of the tools and vendors we work with
We hold onto personal information for as long as it’s needed for the purposes outlined in this policy - or as required by law - and then delete or de-identify it.
Data Breaches
If a data breach occurs or is suspected, we move quickly to investigate and limit any harm. Where we’re required to under the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme, we’ll notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) within the required timeframe.
Your Rights and How to Contact Us
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct anything that’s inaccurate, outdated or incomplete. If you have a privacy concern or complaint, please reach out to us directly and we’ll work to resolve it promptly.
Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
If a dispute arises in connection with this Privacy Policy or the handling of your personal information, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve it in good faith through direct communication with us.

If the matter cannot be resolved informally, Chorus Collective reserves the right to refer the dispute to arbitration and to select an arbitrator of our choosing. Any arbitration will be conducted in Victoria, Australia, and in accordance with applicable Australian law. The decision of the arbitrator will be final and binding on both parties.

Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief from a court where necessary, or from lodging a complaint with the OAIC in relation to a privacy matter.
If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the OAIC at www.oaic.gov.au.
